NEW UNITED STATES AMBASSADOR VISITS CICIG

Guatemala, September 2, 2011. The new United States Ambassador to Guatemala, Arnold Chacón, met yesterday (Thursday, September 1) with CICIG Commissioner Francisco Javier Dall'Anese and he expressed his support and interest in seeing the Commission be successful in its undertakings.

During the meeting held at the Commissioner's office, Ambassador Chacón was informed of the work being conducted by CICIG four years after its arrival in the country. The Commissioner summarized a report that has been prepared to mark the fourth anniversary of the Commission. The report will be presented at the beginning of October.
