SINCERE CONDOLENCES

Guatemala, March 2, 2014. The International Commission against Impunity in Guatemala deeply laments the passing this morning of the Judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, César Ricardo Crisóstomo Barrientos Pellecer.

The Commission extends its profound solidarity to the family of Judge Barrientos Pellecer, to his friends and to his colleagues at the Judiciary (OJ) during this time of sorrow.

We acknowledge and exalt the contribution made by the Judge to the Guatemalan justice system and to strengthening rule of law throughout his long career.
