National Civilian Police members involved in attempted theft of drugs in Amatitlán captured during operation
Guatemala, January 21, 2010 Today, 13 persons were arrested in a joint operation carried out by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and CICIG and with the cooperation of members of the National Civilian Police and the Army. Ten of the arrested individuals were involved in the attempted drug theft in Amatitlán on April 24, 2009, located at kilometer 30 of the highway to the Pacific Ocean. The three other individuals were arrested during the course of the operation when they were caught red-handed in criminal acts.
