Guatemala, November 22, 2012. The Anticorruption Law was published today in the Diario de Centroamérica, the gazette of Guatemala, and will enter into force in eight days. The law will help to tackle unjust enrichment in Guatemalan institutions, among other crimes, and impose prison sentences and fine public office-bearers who commit this crime or other acts of corruption.
