On October, 15, the International Commission Against Impunity in Guatemala (CICIG) received two notes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala, dated October 11, which revoked the courtesy visas granted and currently in force to three CICIG officials and repeals the issuanceof visas to another eight officials and two of their relatives.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not reported the reason for its decision.

The Commission regrets this decision and will study the actions to be taken to preserve compliance with the Agreement for the establishment of CICIG between the State of Guatemala and the United Nations.
